Chapel Hill Memorial Cemetery

Very dissatisfied with the services here. Brought my grandmas ashes over a year ago. Went back to take flowers on the 1 year anniversary only to find out she was never laid to rest. They never even attempted to call and tell me. Then they let me pick the stone and they tell me they will notify me once she's been laid to rest. They also say they will let me see a draft of the stone. Still several weeks later and no notification she's been taken care of. I again had to call to find out. Still no draft of the stone. Highly disappointed.

The first person we were working with had left the company and it left us worried since we had no means of follow up. Once I got in contact with Ken everything went very smoothly, he was very helpful, respectful, and prompt on follow up.

After my grandfather passed away, my parents came here to make arrangements for a niche in the columbarium for his urn. This whole situation was horrible and the woman working there was incredibly and utterly unempathetic. She completely took advantage of their grief, promising one thing but then waiting until AFTER payments to tell us that almost everything we had planned was not going to be as planned. First, the engravement was supposed to be done within 3 weeks but now we are informed that it will be up to at least 8 weeks. Also, we were told that we could wait and have my grandmother’s name engraved on the plate for this space later (as this is not accepted in our culture since she is alive) but after the payments we were told this is not possible and they have to put her name. The day before the funeral, we were told the design for the engravement would not be possible a week after it was chosen. Then she offered a specific niche that we could buy and my parents decided to purchase it. However, on the day that the urn was put in, we found out that the spot was not available and they had set up the funeral for a different niche without telling anyone beforehand. This was unacceptable as we had certain expectations coming into the funeral. If they had been honest with us from the start and told us things would be delayed, we would have been more understanding.

Have cal li ed and told they would return call same day. 3 days lat er still no call. Now when i call the mail box for a message is full.nNow what do i do?

The company that owns this cemetery does not maintain the grounds. The grass is turning brown because the grounds are not watered. The roads have severe pot holes which have caused cars to run up on the grass. That is now turning into brown tracks as well. We buried our father in December. It is now the end of June and the headstone has yet to be placed. They have had it since February. His grave is now compacted dirt with no grass whatsoever. The first excuse was due to covid19. Then it it was due to being backed up. But there is a site next to our fathers that passed in march and gravestone is up. Do not bury loved one here. Very disappointing.
