Anderson Carpet & Tile

I hired Anderson Carpet & Tile back in Nov of 2019 to install Iberian engineered hardwood throughout my home. I've got to say that I was very impressed with how friendly and efficient Troy and his team were during the presale process. They were very thorough. Troy even reached out to the supplier of the wood I wanted and discovered that it was on sale, and that the sale ended shortly. This thoughtfulness ended up saving me about $1000 right off the bat.nnUnfortunately, my praise ends there. I gave them a star for the excellent presale work, but stopped there because: (a) Anderson Carpet & Tile does not stand by the work they do; (b) they will ignore you if serious problems are discovered post-sale; (c) they will cut corners during the installation process leaving you with substandard results.nnSpecific problems encountered:nn- I paid for engineered wood. However, because they forgot to order transition pieces (and they were no longer available at the time of installation), they improvised with flimsy laminate ones that felt cheap and springy under foot. After a week, all of those transitions had broken off. I contacted them numerous times throughout the year to get them replaced. At first they pretended like they were going to replace them with hardwood transitions, but eventually they stopped responding to my calls and texts. It's been over a year now, and I guess I'm being forced to hire another company to finish the job I already paid for.nn- In order to get the stairway done in less than a day, their team used quarter-rounds on my stairwell between each step.nn- I just want to reiterate the fact that they are now ignoring me. I've been more than patient (it's been over a year!) and have spaced out my reminders with weeks between, so it's not like I'm being obnoxious.nn- Lastly, I initially expressed to the team that I have additional work I wanted to hire them for. They went through the process of measuring, but apparently they are not interested in my business, because as I said, they are ignoring me now.nnIt sucks to have to give a local business a bad review, but after a year of dealing with this and being ignored, I guess this is all I can do.
