First time into Water’s Edge Sweet Tooth this past Saturday. Needing a cake for an upcoming birthday I asked if they could make a German chocolate cake. Yes, yes they could and they’d be most happy to do so. My twin and I picked it up yesterday. We had planned to go to dinner beforehand but instead we put dish towels around our necks and picked up pitchforks and ate the entire cake at one go. In our defense, it was a small cake only 6” in diameter! The cake was light as a feather and very moist - the frosting was delicious. My only regret is that we wolfed it down before snapping a photo of it!nnThe Water’s Edge is a bit off the beaten track and not likely to be found by tourists. But for locals it is a total find. Highly recommended!
Hands down the best bakery I’ve worked with in Traverse City. They made the most beautiful unicorn cake for my daughter’s birthday, and it was also amazingly delicious and more affordable than any other bakery we’ve used in town. AND they delivered the cake to my home on a Sunday afternoon! A friend also used them for her baby shower and had a great experience. I don’t often take the time to write reviews but this bakery really went above and beyond- highly recommend!
