She did an excellent job - I love her hours. Came after 8 and it was peaceful and calming. She did a fill-in for me - this was my 1st time and it’s just like I like it. It’s worth the drivennI love him ❤❤❤❤❤❤

Do not go here.nMy friend and I decided we wanted to get our nails done. We looked up places and saw Kim #1 Nails. We glanced at the reviews and called to see if she could take us. She said she was available and I informed her that we would be there in about 30 minutes. I stated on the phone that one of us wanted acrylic nails and the other just wanted gel polish. We walked in, there was only one lady working and she was finishing up someone. When we walked in she asked what we wanted which I again said “I want a full set of acrylics and she wants just gel polish”. She told us we needed to sign in a pick a color. We signed in with our phone number and name and signed a waiver. I picked up a normal nail polish and my friend picked up a gel polish she liked. The lady told us to have a seat and we did. While we were finding our colors, a lady walked in and asked her to fix one nail that was messed up and she did that. We were sitting down and she walks over to us and was like “get powder, it’s only five dollars more, I want to give you good nails”. I was just like “okay, that sounds good with me” and I picked out powder instead. My friend wanted to stay with the gel polish. After she finished up fixing the woman’s nail, she told us to come on over. I wish I would’ve realized it prior to her doing my nails but she never once cleaned any of the equipment, tools, or the area she used between the lady we first saw, the lady with the single messed up nail she fixed, and me. She also never cleaned anything before starting on my friend. She didn’t clip my nails or clean them before she began gluing tips on me. She never once pushed my cuticles back or anything. She applied the powder very unevenly which I didn’t think too much of since I knew she could smooth it out. I ended up noticing spots, like on the side of my nails where the powder was not covering and she did not seem to care. She applied the clear powder to only one hand. She finally started to smooth them out and went down the bottom of my nail where she proceeded to cut me at least 4 times. She told me if I would relax, she wouldn’t cut me. One of the cuts was actually pretty bad. She would just pull out this powder, pour it over the bleeding cut and continue working. It didn’t affect her at all, though she didn’t even have gloves on. She also kept changing the TV channels and answering phone calls the entire time she did both mine and my friend’s nails. She seemed to be very rushed. When my friend sat down, an alarm went off on her phone which was to load the card machine. She asked my friend to pay prior to beginning since she had to load the machine. I understand that she has to load the machine but this was around 7, and the hours listed on the door, Facebook, and Google state that the salon closes at 10. She had informed my friend while she was doing my nails that she needed powder not polish. My friend proceeded to ask her if she could get the powder nails if she didn’t want acrylic, she told her she could. My friend picked out powder and was going with 3 different shades of pink. After she sat down, the nail lady began gluing tips on her and informed her that one of the shades she had chosen “wouldn’t work”. She took it upon herself to pick out a color for my friend, which I will say didn’t even really fit with the look my friend was going for. While she was gluing the tips on, my friend expressed AGAIN that she did NOT want acrylic nails and attempted to pull her hand away which led to the lady forcefully pulling her hand back, acting as if she didn’t hear her. She never asked how she wanted them shaped or anything. She unevenly applied my friend’s powder, leaving bubbles and even hairs in her nails. We both were upset with our nails. My friend proceeded to call her boyfriend CRYING as soon as we left because she was so upset about her nails. My friend also posted a review which Kim replied to. I will post screenshots of that, as well as two replies I just found that were posted 3 weeks apart under different names but are exactly the same, which will be on Yelp.

Kim & her crew done an amazing job on our pedicures today!! They are so friendly, fast, & professional! She even offers free drinks! She’s the Sweetest lady. I love my nails every time I come here!!!ud83dudc97 Kim & her crew are the best, best nail salon in Fort Payne!!!

I seriously cried After leaving this nail salon, my friend and I went to go get our nails done and as we came in we expressed to her that one of us was getting acrylics and the other was getting just gel nails we picked out her colors and then she made us change them to dip powder after us telling her no we were fine with our colors, then after horribly doing my friends nails and leaving parts of her Nail unpainted and the acrylics uneven she proceeded to do my nails which were supposed to be just gel she had me pay before she even started which I thought was suspicious and I had told her that it was going to be just gel and not acrylics more than five times she proceeded to put acrylics on my fingers and after trying to pull my hand away from her she held it tighter and continued to glue I told her even during the process of her putting on the acrylics I told her I did not want them and she thought that they would be better and would not let me move she then proceeded to pick out her own color for me and all the color I picked out and cut my acrylics on evenly the nail polish is bumpy and there’s a hair stuck inside of the nail polish that she saw and continue to smooth out anyways and do not move it. I would also like to add that she did not cut our natural nail and when she cut the acrylics she did not measure them to see if they were even she also made our cuticles bleed and continued on with her service even though they were bleeding! I would not recommend this place to anyone also the acrylics I didn’t even want are already coming off and it hasn’t even been 5 hours
