Norman Police Department

Fight happening behind me, distinctive gunshots, vehicle peels out SQUEALING. Called 911--SHE WANTS TO KNOW WHAT THE VEHICLE LOOKED LIKE! Apparently they can't do anything unless I can tell them what the vehicle looked like, what the people looked like, exactly what the address was...Ever so sorry dear, but I have advanced degrees and a successful career, I don't go running out to an argument with gunfire so that I can stick myself in the middle of the situation. Guess the police department has become too lazy to investigate anything without private citizens who aren't getting paid for the privilege putting themselves in danger?!

Starting to make me lose hope in humanity. We all face our days knowing that it may be our last, tis life. When it's obvious to see that the officer (Brian Browning) is just working to meet a paycheck and not actually express genuine concern about my confidential discovery or my safety, it literally made me nauseated. Just because this beautiful city, that I was born in, has a phenomenally low crime rate, doesn't mean we should just hire anyone off the streets that can meet standard credentials, but that are also passionate and yearn to SERVE and PROTECT Norman and it's people.n-Amen.

You know what people??!?! These men and women deal with things on a daily basis that regular citizens could not even fathom. They go out every single day, knowing that this could be the last day of their lives. They deal with the lowest form of humanity. So if an officer pulls you over and isn't just all rosy happy and maybe a bit rude.. Get over it!! You don't know what kind of day he or she has had. They may have dealt with a drug dealer, an abused child, a car wreck with fatalities. These men and women are the first people to arrive when we need help, the first who will risk their lives, to save ours. So instead of getting upset when you get an officer who may not be as nice as you want or might be rude. Just try to remember.... You have no idea what their day or night has entailed. Show respect and thank them. They truly are our heroes. So to the men and women in the Norman Police Department.. Thank you! You are appreciated.

They are SUPER nice and really helpful as well made sure i knew what i was doing and felt like they really cared!

Let me say I have meet some kind officers here in Norman but there response time needs to be better and they need to take the job more serous. I went to go get a copy of a police report I filed and they never filed it and when I keep bugging them they just sent it to small claims court. I don't know how I am going to get money out of a homeless person and how I can fix the problem without a police report to give to the insurance company. Guess its time to sell cause I am SOL.
