Ordered a pineapple planet cake last weekend. Very disappointed. Cake looked good, full marks on the looks and decoration. However no taste of pineapple at all, the icing was frozen and too sweet. I had asked in the comments that I do not want the cake to be very sweet, but I guess that is the issue with good looking cakes. They use sugar frozen frosting which is very very sweet. Disappointed as I was expecting pineapple flavors in the cake which were missing. A cake from Harris teeter or food lion would have costed a fraction and tasted lot better.
I ordered a yellow cake with fresh fruit filling for my wedding less than 2 weeks ago. We’ve been through a fair amount of bakeries and I have to say, Once in a blue moon knows how to do their cakes well. The cake was superbly delicious!!! Thank you so much!
You can’t go wrong with Once in a Blue Moon. We’ve used them for many family birthday cakes, and they always knock them out of the park. Also, I own a local wedding venue and love to sample the wedding cake ( one of my favorite parts of the job ud83eudd37ud83cudffc♀ufe0f) I can say that I’ve had a fair amount of disappointing wedding cake, but never once from Once in a Blur Moon! Plus they are beautiful to boot.
The staff are nice and extremely helpful. Everything I’ve had from there was amazing, especially their cupcakes. The lightest and fluffiest cupcakes around!
I loved the cake I ordered here! Best cake I've had in a long time! I recommend this bakery 100% for all your occasions.
