The birthday cake I bought was horrible, had the consistency of cornbread and it tasted like jelly was used for filling. Frosting was supposed to be buttercream - not sure what it was. So very disappointed. We tossed the cake in the trash. Will not shop for a cake there ever. I must say the cupcakes were better, except one had been double frosted to make it appear fresh.
They have the BEST gluten free cupcakes!! The chocolate tastes so rich and moist like Devil's Food. The vanilla is equally amazing -- so moist and delicious! I've been gluten allergic for 5+ year and often feel like I'm missing out. Not at Staarr Cakes!! They are so polite and cooperative! Great customer service. I just love visiting them and indulging in their wonderful GF cupcakes!!! ud83euddc1
Great, fresh products a special treat for any and all occasions.
First time visiting StaarrCakes was absolutely amazing! I purchased six different cupcakes and I can honestly say these are the best cupcakes I have ever eaten. (Not that I ate them all myself) :) As if this place couldn't be more great.. The owners personality is just as sweet as her icing! I will be visiting StaarrCakes every time we visit Oak Island.
I made a special order last minute and the owner was so helpful and really made it happen. Wonder place, wonderful treats, and wonderful people!
