This place has the best food in the world. They have a bakery where they make all their breads and offer an amazing selection of delicious pastries. The venue is modest and not very big. The service is friendly. The food puts this place on another level. An all German adult menu is complimented by a simple, yet delicious kids menu of basics like mac and cheese and a grilled cheese sandwich, which happens to be the best I've ever had as well. This is a must visit if you're anywhere near Helen, GA.

We came to Helen knowing nothing about it other than it is a great destination point, so I googled restaurants in the area. This was the first to pop up so we decided to try it.nnThere was a bit of a wait when we arrived, but it was worth it! I ordered the bacon onion hash and my husband ordered the farmer's breakfast with the pork chop, and we were both very pleased! The inside store was very nice and had a nice selection of pastries and deli assortments.nnOverall, great experience!

Tasty Rueben and Philly steak sandwiches for lunch. Philly was one of the best ever. Oktoberfest amber was pretty good, although I’m not a beer drinker. It was smooth, deep & strong flavors. Pastry items took home were pretty good, get the cream puffs & eclairs. Cream puff has a light & fluffy cream, not custard. The eclair has the custard.

Visited for lunch...very good. Went back later for cake and some deli items...husband got German Chocolate cake, I got Rum Truffle. My slice was dry and pretty stale...no rum flavor at all. However husband's German Chocolate slice fairly fresh, not dry or stale at all. I recommend getting that or the Black Forest torte as those will be most popular and therefore fresher.

Warm, friendly service. My cherry turnover was tasty and not very sweet, which I liked. Selection was a little limited, likely in part because they were pretty busy. Nice patio area. Masks very not heavily enforced for people walking into the business even though signage was on doors.
