Like the children's nursery rhyme says, when it's good it's very good, and when it's bad it's horrid. Unfortunately, these days the good seems like the exception. It's not unusual to find perishable items out of date or moldy. Despite a message broadcast repeatedly over the PA system, mask-wearing is not enforced. Moody cashiers and baggers will take out their frustration on your groceries. It's not all bad. There are some employees who are pleasant, and the bananas are the best I can find in the area. I want to support local businesses, but this store has become more of a convenience store for me when I don't have time to drive to Madison for the far superior Ingles there, or if I've forgotten an item while shopping in Athens. Every time I think I'll give them another try, I'm reminded why I quit shopping there on a regular basis. In future, I may just do without rather than be disappointed or frustrated again.
Cashiers would cough into hands and not in the cuff of the elbow that needs to be addressed to stop the spread of diseases
This place is pricey but it does offer some items you can't find at other places. My cashier was sweet and always get the help I need
With this virus if one pay close attention, some people act as if people aren't dieing around us, because it isn't you, is someone you may know. I wear my mask for me an my Family. Ingles has a great stock up, if you notice they've changed the store around so you'll stay a little longer than expected.
Love this place wish they had one closer to my house!
