Back in downtown Woodstock, music fans should reserve some time for MadLife Stage & Studios, an excellent performance space with regular live music.nnIts indoor stage offers intimate gig experiences, with less than 300 tickets available for each performance. The table-studded space also gives it a laid-back bar feel.nnOutside, when the weather is good (and this is Georgia remember) MadLife is also able to boast a patio stage. The onsite grill serves food throughout the day, with a menu of takes on traditional southern flavours.nnUnusually for such an establishment, this is a scratch kitchen, meaning everything is made and cooked in house, with the chefs going as far as smoking their own meat.

Fantastic food! The fried Brussels are so good, the seasond beef they use for their burgers to the atmosphere and staff.... all around a great place!! Fries were cold when my husband got his food but will still give 5 stars if the next time we go that doesn't happen. Betting on a fluke on the fries.

This place is fantastic. The Main music room has a fantastic sound system, and accomplished sound engineers who know what they're doing running it. The staff is super friendly. After everyone at my table ordered steaks, I realized we were probably going to go on before the steaks arrived so I went to the window and told the cooks what time we were going on so the food wouldn't get cold on the table while we were on stage. Instead of holding the order for an hour, they bumped it up to next and we were able to have a great meal before our set. I've been working in and running live music venues for 30 years. MadLife does it right.

I went on a Sunday. It was an unorganized mess. Inside hostess was MIA.nA small line of waiting customers formed before we were greeted.nWe then had to wait on booths to be cleaned.nOnly saving grace was our waitress. She was awesome and on top of it.nLime in da coconut drink was tasty.....although pricey ($11) for a small cocktail.nFood was mediocre.

Mad Life has quickly become one of our favorite spots for live music. We also appreciate the efforts they've taken lately to keep everyone safe and healthy. Amazing music, great staff, and an unbelievable light show!
