My amazing, kind, fearless, father is laid to rest here. It will be 8 years on Sunday March 28. 2021. His burial site is comforting to my entire family it’s holds a special place in my heart and I always leave the cemetery feeling proud to be his daughter! Thanks you for always making sure it’s in pristine appearance it definitely doesn’t go unnoticed ♥ufe0f

This is a very well-maintained facility and a superb resting place for Veterans, Retired Military, and their spouses. It is administered by the Commonwealth of Virginia and meets or exceeds Federal national cemetery standards. Seeing the construction in-progress of the new sections of in-ground crypts showed me just how well this facility is designed and constructed, with the pre-installed concrete burial crypts resting on a bed of gravel with an underlying drainage system that ensures the crypts and the interred remains stay dry, very impressive. The manager and office staff are very professional, very responsive, and very helpful. The process for qualifying and pre-registering for a burial spot is straightforward and I was in and out today with my authorization letter within 10 minutes. If you are a Retired Military Member or a Veteran and are looking for your final resting place, I highly recommend you consider the Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery.

Beautiful place we chose for our parents final resting place. The staff is great and grounds kept perfect.

Thank you AJ Horton VeterannStaff. On Saturday my family was transported from Kings Forks High School to site. My heart was so happy to see so many volunteers and loved ones. I received a love one card. When it was time we went up to get a wreath. We were given ample time to go to love one site and place our wreath. Everything was beautiful..it was raining off and on. I am a volunteer. My love one is there too. To all the families who came out to help...we love you. The staff..military personnel..bus drivers and all who drove carts back and forth transporting us. Thank you all. My heart is glad that dear Uncle James C Johnson is buried here. What a massive project. Thank you one and all.
