Where to begin? My seventeen year-old recently played some of her original songs for me and I said to myself, “this kid needs to be recorded.” I decided to give her some studio time as a gift, but where? I asked around Salt Lake City and heard the same answer again and again: Marmalade Music. Chris is a consummate pro. This was my daughter’s very first time being professionally recorded. It can be an intimidating process, even for a seasoned pro, but Chris made her feel comfortable and confident from the start. Both a highly skilled musician and engineer, Chris’ musical instincts are spot-on. My daughter recorded eight tracks with Chris, and every one of them absolutely shines. If you’re serious about your craft and you’re looking to record a first-class project, choose Marmalade Music. I can’t recommend them strongly enough.

I can't believe how easy and uncomplicated the whole process was: from getting a quote to setting up an appointment and having the files sent where they were supposed to go - for a last minute thing with a super short notice/deadline. Chris did an amazing job and was so helpful! I'm a total noob when it comes to recording and he was extremely patient too. I definitely recommend working with him and he'll be my go to whenever a music project comes my way. Oh, and a plus, it's super easy to get to his studio. It's right off the North Temple station.
