The service here is wonderful. I came here twice for a liquid nose job and a mini lip filler. The staff was helpful with answering questions and asking for input with decision making. Will continue coming here for upkeep!

I was impressed with the staff that helped me through a current medical ear issue. Chris Ann is a great person work with. She was very attentive and personable with the issue I shared. I highly recommend this private practice.nI visited a different medical institution earlier in the day and was not satisfied with service and diagnose. Alaska Functional Medicine + Spa was able to fit me in almost immediately and my medical issue was temporarily addressed.

I made my appointment about two months ago and was very eager for this appointment- as I have been patiently waiting. However, the appointment didn’t go well. I will say the office is very nice- spa like. When Chris, the provider, came in she didn’t have a mask on (per COVID mandates and practices). Being a medical provider myself and living/working with vulnerable populations- I asked her to wear a mask. She went to retrieve one and as she donned it, barely covering her nose and mouth, she said ‘okay, now that I have this political thing on...’. Politics aside- wearing a mask is just the kind thing to do as you don’t know what the other person has going on. During our brief few minute discussion, she continued to remove the mask and then scoffed and said ‘are you really serious about me wearing this mask?’ Just with this I didn’t feel respected as a patient, didn’t feel valued, didn’t feel listened to, didn’t believe a partnership in health could be created. I had to thank her and just leave the appointment. I was excited to have a Functional Medicine outlet to refer my patients to, but this is definitely not the place.

AFM has taken a wholistic approach and helped solve numerous issues that other providers couldn’t. During the appointment her time and attention is completely in the room. I am so thankful for her care and professionalism.
