They don’t take care of certain sides. There is to many dandelions and they don’t mow. Then they drive the big trucks to prepare a spot, and damaged a headstone. This cemetery is very disappointing, I have many family members there and it’s sad to see their grave like that. So when I tried to fix it up and grow grass i got in trouble. ud83dude44
The Anchorage Memorial Park is a very meaningful experience. It contains both contemporary grave sites for various Anchorage communities and heritage and historical burials of Alaska and Anchorage founders. The grounds are beautiful and I always enjoy seeing many of the unique headstones of loved ones residing there. The only issue is it's proximity to Merrill Air field. Lots of small aircraft fly over ahead. However since many of Alaska's founders and residents are pilots that is not necessarily a bad thing.
Can’t wait to get there!
What can I really say about this place? I'm not dead yet!! In the summer a lot of people go here to walk around and enjoy the beauty. It was established in 1915 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.
My daughter is there they did a wonderful job couldn’t ask for better. Me and my wife will be thereto
