American Service Dogs

I confirm boarding and training with Jared back in August, for December booking I was informed then they were looking for a new location. Mind you my dogs don't need training, I just didn't want them in doggy jail. November I tried contacting Jared via email, no response, proceeded with messenger, then phone, nothing. I was really worried my trip was fast approaching. Finally Jared communicated with me early December, he did not check email or messenger regularly. He set up for Luke to board/train my dogs. Morning of drop off the building closed no longer in service, and the boarding/training will be in Luke's private home. Desperate I leave my dogs with Luke, who said he would send me pictures and videos, Never was sent anything from him. Upon picking up my dogs Luke was wearing the same filthy clothes from the previous 10 days, and the tips of his finger stained green. My dogs were traumatized, lethargic, and shacking uncontrollably and had lost a considerable amount of weight. Nights following had night terrors. I'm writing this review as I would not want this to happen to another dog.

Jared and Trish are extremely knowledgeable about dogs and have excellent techniques to help you become a better pet owner/trainers. At first I was not sure if they could help me but they did and proved that my companion(my dog) and I have and unbreakable bond and made our relationship stronger. We now work great as a team. Thanks to American Service Dog I have another companion(dog) and both of them work great as a team. They are excellent trainers and very knowledgeable about the laws and I am very great full for them and everything they have done my my dogs and I. They are very professional about their work and tell you the truth up front and will tell you what you have to do in order for you and your dog to succeed. Yes, there were some issues with some of the employees, but now it’s all under new management and they are ensuring that everything is done properly and professionally. I enjoy being around the American Service Dog family and am entirely grateful for their time and dedication. Lori was my one on one trainer at American Service Dog and she was very knowledgeable about training. If there was something that she didn’t know that minute she would get back to me that night with an answer. She’s fun to be around and serious when she needs to be. American Service Dogs is a great place to be at with your animals and to be around other dogs owners. Definitely the place to go to learn more than just being a dog owner but a great place to be part of a family and building your relationship with you four legged friend(s). Did I say that this is the worst training company I know of at this time. The employees are unprofessional—During lessons, they text, get on the phone, cross-talk to their friends/partners, and talk about personal and and inappropriate topics. The trainer barks orders and does not take in consideration that we are at the facility for a reason. I have a panic disorders and gait problems. When I asked about a service dog, recommended by my doctor to “reorient in space.” Laurie seemed to understand my need, but Jared was not concerned. During the 15 minute initial Service Dog evaluation, he asked few questions and never got back to me. I even told him that MONEY was not a problem. He is all talk and no action. In fact, I paid for a month of obedience classes for my poodle. I only attended 1/2 month, and we will not be returning. I lost some money since I will not complete the class, but I do not care. I will go elsewhere. I would recommend hiring a Business Manager. A manager who can make this place more professional, interact/intake new customers, and ensure appropriate conduct within the workplace. Hire someone with knowledge of disabilities and the needs of families.

First I would like to say not only is this place professional, but the compassion the staff has is amazing. I am the proud owner of 2 yes I said 2 Pitt bull mix dogs. They have shown me so much in this class. My dogs are 35 and 92 lbs. Jared, Laura, and Trish have shown me how to handle them slit better and that They can be better. I am so thankful for finding this company and look forward to well trained dogs bc I know with this staff mine will get there. American service dogs is more then just company to me they are more like family. Their trainers are the best always answering your questions and figuring out way to make sure every client is happy. They help me get my life back my service dog was able to help me walk for graduation, go to doctors appointments by myself and be more independent. Thank you American Service Dogs.
