I just love this place! I truly enjoy the Amish culture. James is such a nice man that runs the bakery. We go here every time I visit my folks in Tennessee. I always get the fried pies and cinnamon raisin bread. This time I got the last German Chocolate cake that was on the shelf. Couldn't wait to taste it! I wasn't disappointed, so fresh, moist and sweet. Loved it!! Can't wait to come back next year! Even though James told me they can ship all their bakery treats to me!! Hmmmm.... :)

Excellent baked goods! Prices a bit high but quality takes me back again & again. Pies cakes breads rolls and a variety of honey sorghum jams jellies make it worth stopping. Shop is small but good variety! Including things like noodles & granola i haven't even tried yet! But it is closed Wednesday or Thursday and I can never remember which - and the whole month of February! I miss it then!

Banana Nut Bread, Oatmeal cookies, jams, apple butter, pies, granola, cakes...nnWe take the trip up here every Saturday to get fresh bread and more every week. If you haven't been, you are missing out and should do yourself and your family a favor and go here. Now. Why are you still reading this? Go!

The best bread I've ever had, the prices are fantastic for what you get. Everything in that place is delicious

Mighty mighty tasty. Fresh ingredients and very reasonably priced. If freshly baked sourdough bread is available, absolutely get some and eat it immediately! Employee James informed us that he had some fresh loaves available as we were checking out. Talk about fortuitous timing!nnWe ended up also buying a pan of cinnamon rolls, some fried cherry and blackberry pies, and an m&m brownie. Everything was wonderful and delicious.nnThe fresh warm sourdough, however, was totally de-lish! It was gone before we knew it. Not only is Schlabach's goodies worth the one hour drive from Bowling Green, the views through the KY countryside are soul recharging and refreshing. Make it happen and take the drive. You will not regret it.
