Terry Carlin did an outstanding job for me restoring a very old violin back into playing condition. I cannot play, so Jeanelle Brierley, a very accomplished violinist that works with Terry played the instrument for me and it just took my breath away. I’m going to be taking lessons in the near future in honor of my late wife Lisa. Thank you so very much Terry and Jeanelle. Terry is fantastic! We took our time testing violas and bows. We had issues with one of the bows (beautiful ornamental frog but a bit worn) and she fixed it beautifully!
She did an excellent job repairing the seam cracks on a 1920’s Stainer and rehaired the bow that came with it. It has become my favorite violin for old time jams
Our children have been involved in music for the last decade in the Cleveland area. For many years we have rented instruments, both violins and violas, from Terry Carlin. Terry has treated us as a treasured customer whether we were renting or purchasing an instrument. She has consistently offered cheerful and encouraging help along the way. Great place to get violins, violas, cellos, bows, cases, etc. in Little Italy. They have great service, great prices, get bows from great makers, give you adequate time to try out bows and violins and allow you to take them home for a week to try them. They also do repairs and so much more, just a great place to go. Would recommend.
