Cleveland Violins

I cannot recommend Cleveland Violins enough. If I could give them 10/5 stars I totally would!nnI got my bass from Cleveland Violins around 2008, when I was in high school. She’s been everywhere with me - the most recent move being to my new house this past summer. I’ve been in apartments the past 9 years, and now finally have plenty of space for a good set up for her.nnProblem is, our house is 150 years old, cold, and drafty. One night in February, my fiancé and I heard a loud noise upstairs, and didn’t think much of it, since the house is usually pretty creaky...until the next morning when I realized what had happened. There was now a 6 inch crack down the front of my bass.nnI PANICKED - I had no idea what to do, or if it would be safe for me to move her without furthering the crack. So I reached out to Cleveland Violins, sent them a photo, and they told me they could fix it relatively inexpensively. THANK GOD. So I took her in.nnTwo days later they called me to tell me that the damage was much more extensive than they initially thought. That they’d have to take the top off, and address a few other issues I hadn’t noticed. That this type of fix would take a few weeks, and would typically cost $2,000. My heart SANK because I love my bass but in no way could afford to spend that much on a repair, I’d have to sell her.nnSo I’m on the phone with CV, totally ready to bawl my eyes out, and then they decided to make me cry, but for a totally different reason - they told me they would consider this a warranty repair, at no cost to me, because, despite the time that had elapsed since I bought her, they stand by their product.nnI got my bass back this weekend, and she looks beautiful. I offered to pay CV something, but they wouldn’t hear of it. So I left, crying again, and 100% a loyal lifetime customer.nnI cannot thank them enough and HIGHLY recommend them to anyone looking for a place to purchase or repair a stringed instrument. They do high quality work, and their customer service and passion for what they do is beyond excellent. I’m a very happy customer!

I took my grandfather's old, neglected Strad clone in for review and restoration. They were very professional and helpful. Though it took a bit longer than expected, they did a nice job restoring the instrument and making it fully playable again. Well worth the time and money.
