They're a small place, which gives them the advantage of intimacy. I've been there a few times and they're always able to get me what I need. Lessons, instruments for sale or rent, even repair services--name it.

Insulting would be a word that does not define what I felt after leaving the Grove City Music location. I called prior to driving to location to ask if they had any guitar stands in stock and they said they did, however they were used. I asked them how much they were and the representative I spoke with told me she would have to check first with her manager located in Wisconsin. I said that I would go ahead and drive to the location because if they were used, then they would/should be cheaper than retail price bran new for same item. I drove 20 minutes to Grove City location and upon entering, the Rep told me that $18 would be the price for each guitar stand. I looked up the price for Ultimate Support Tubular Guitar Stand (JS-TG101) and at all locations searched, the price was 13.99 to 14.99 bran new. I asked her, where these were in fact used, to check again with her manager to see why these used pieces of equipment were being sold for more than their market value new. The Rep, at first, did not want to bother her manager in WI and told me that there was nothing that she could do to make them any cheaper. I explained that it was not good customer service to refuse a customer's request when all I wanted was to clarify to the Manager that the guitar stands were selling at retail new for a lower price and where they were used, should in fact be sold for less than that. I was not looking for a handout, but that is the way I think it was misconstrued. The money was actually not the issue, but more or so the principle and how first off, I was perceived by employee just trying to get a discount, and secondly the fact that I drove 20 minutes to experience this. I don't think the Manager fully understood my question and I only wish I had the opportunity to speak to her myself so I clear the air and feel better about my experience with Grove City Music. I will take all future business elsewhere and share my experience with others where good customer service is my utmost desire. Thank you.

A small, locally-oriented music shop offering lessons in guitar, drums, voice, piano, band, and orchestra. They provide books, essential music accessories, instruments for rent and sale, and repair services.

I was pleasantly surprised with how this store has evolved from Sequeo (sp?) many years ago. The staff was helpful and they had a nice range of accessories for different instruments available. Very nice interior as well.

Apparently, my original review mysteriously got deleted (eye roll). Whatever. Long story short....this place SUCKS. Don't go here ... for lessons OR supplies.
