Getting my storage unit was super easy! I set it up, signed the contracts and paid for it all while eating lunch at home. All information was given and I was able to easily find my unit and get my stuff in with no problems. Was a great overall experience!

Paul Gardner helped us get into a climate controlled 10x12’ unit for an amazing price. I found the pricing online and he honored it while also presenting a second special pricing they were offering. Ultimately we kept the online pricing which was unmatched with in 100 miles! This facility is only 8 months old and has a ton of security features that put it high on the desirable list. Make sure you check out the location on Airport road in West Jordan and ask for Paul!

Update: we had a total of 3 units over the years (moved out of a house) starting back when it was life storage. Once extra space bought it they did make some improvements to the facility but the price went up immensely. Our original unit was maybe $135 and when we moved out of that unit it was nearly $180 a month (each time it increased it was about $5-$7). One of our units leaked and ruined some antique furniture. Supposedly the units had security but there was one time we logged into one unit but went to both. They didn't say anything to us about the second unit, which made us wonder if someone did get in our unit, if they'd even notice. Several times we went and the gate was stuck upright which was disappointing. It was just a bummer how much it went up in cost over probably about 5 years. We ended up just buying a shipping container for $1800 and its paid for itself.

I have been with this company for a while now. I do appreciate them, they have worked with me, but these are a couple of things that are very frustrating to me. The motion sensor light turns off all the time. I'll be working in my storage unit, and the light will turn off, so it is pitch black, and I have to make my way out to activate it again. When I called to complain about this the employee I spoke to said I could get a flashlight from Harbor Freight for free and it has a magnet on the back, she made it sound so enticing. Lol! Like it was a great solution to the problem. First of all the flashlight is free, but only with a purchase, and second the flashlight does not offer enough light to work with. I fell and injured myself because the light went off, and I had to make my way out to activate it again. This is very frustrating! Also I pay extra for a climate controlled storage unit, and the prices have even increased, but it is always so hot in the summer, and cold in the winter. I don't understand how this is climate controlled?

Camerin was extremely helpful for me today. I was at work and had to purchase a unit asap, and she was able to help me with payments over the phone. She also was very knowledgeable and informative which helped me greatly because I've never purchased a storage unit before. She doesn't know I'm in a bit of a tight spot, but she didn't need to know me to give me excellent service. Y'all got a good one on your hands, Extra Space.
