Buyer beware! Installation coordination HORRIBLE and manager completely unprofessional and rudenCarpet was fantastic; however, you can purchase carpet from anywhere.nAfter spending a fairly decent amount on carpet we were so excited to get it installed. Ordered a month prior to install (as we are doing renovations) called a week before and asked to be second stop and spoke with Josh, the manager. I called a day before install (1/21/2021) to confirm the time and was told by Courtney it would be first stop in the morning and the window was between 8-10am, made sure to double check because I called the week before and requested afternoon and she said, “nope you are in the morning first stop”. I called at 10:06 on installation day (1/22/2021) and Courtney informed me the installer just left Clarkston 20 minutes prior and should be there soon. We live about 15 away so assumed they were close! Called at 11:45AM and they were still not there. Courtney informed me she would ask and then was told they were there. I called my mother-in-law who was there and she said no one was there. At this point she had to leave and my husband had to leave works so she could go. Called back and said they were not there and was told they should be there a little after 12. No one showed. Now 2:26PM and no one is there. Was told they would be there later in the afternoon. Nothing happened. I then had to leave work and let my husband go back and still no show. I get a call at 5:09PM from installer letting me know he is 45 to an hour away. I call Courtney to let her know who said “I am sure we can do something to compensate you for the inconvenience, let me chat with my manager” I told her to please chat with manger and she can call me Saturday. At this point it is now the evening hours. The installer arrived at 6:15PM. They stated they needed to bring in through the window and we said that is fine just make sure you put back in when done. They did not, they did not clean up shavings, they did not vacuum new carpet. Saturday never got a call back; Monday never got a call back.nCalled today (1/26/2021) to speak with Courtney and she said she will speak with manger. Josh called me and was very unprofessional and rude. Said I called a week prior and changed to afternoon, however let him know it should not have made a difference because I called the NIGHT before and was told between 8-10am and I even asked her to make sure being that I requested the week before to be second stop. She said nope you are set for 8-10 Friday. And regardless, since he said anytime in the afternoon 6:15PM is NOT afternoon hours. He said it could be anytime in the afternoon past 12. The fact they arrived at 6:15PM at this point that is evening hours. Between 3 people and taking off work I simply would have appreciated some sort of reimbursement and for him to take responsibility for the poor communication and lack of professionalism is ridiculous. The entire day was spent on the phone and being told, 15 minutes, 20 minutes they are there, they will be a couple hours when in all reality it was the evening hours and the installer was the one that called at 5:09PM.nI would never want someone to go through that so wanted to share my experience and hope they can get their scheduling and communication in order. Shame on you Josh. I chose your store to help a local business out and for you to say to me “I feel like you are wanting something after the fact” False, I called all day Friday and was told incorrect information on times the ENTIRE day I was told BY YOUR STAFF there was something you guys could do to make it right THAT day even BEFORE carpet came. I simply called today to follow up and see what was going on.nnYou are better off buying carpet from Home Depot or another company. Do not purchase flooring from Karen’s at least until they get a better manager. I’m absolutely appalled by his tone, his rudeness and unprofessionalism and the way they handled EVERY aspect of the installation and scheduling.

We replaced carpet in 5+ rooms in our finished basement. Jane was very helpful with the whole process and answered my calls right away. Our installer was Joe and he did an expert job. Our stairs are tricky to carpet but they look absolutely perfect. I also used Karen's for a luxury vinyl floor in our basement kitchen area and that turned out great too. Prices are fair, service is excellent, and the end result is beautiful...what more can you ask for?

We purchased a vinyl floor for my mother and within a year the vinyl was stretched where a chair was. Karen’s came out and said it was stretched because a chair was being slide out from the table. They would not stand behind the flooring. Who doesn’t slide their chair out when sitting at a table?? If you have to lift a chair when sitting down, they should have told us it was not a good application for a kitchen with a table. I was very disappointed at how quickly they threw up their hands and said it was our problem. They definitely aren’t customer focused as they used to be. I will never recommend this place!!

We couldn't recommend another flooring specialist more than Karen's Advance Floors. My husband + I are finishing our bonus room, and they have gone above and beyond in every way. Scott and his team and professional, courteous and prompt. We have been so appreciative of their hard work and attention to detail.

Great sales staff! They were very polite and helpful! Would definitely reccomend getting your flooring here!
