7/27/20 update: I came back ten days after they were supposed to plant the grass seed and here are the side by side photos. The one in the left is from 7/17 when I was told they’d be raking and placing seed that day. The photo on the right is ten days later. Yet another disappointment with Sunrise Memorial Gardens.nnWe’ve been trying to get grass seed planted on my dads grave for months now. We have raked up the dirt and planted it twice and the sprinklers were not working so that didn’t work. Three weeks ago I was assured by Joe in the office that he put in a work order and will have seed planted that day. Obviously that hasn’t happened. While I give them credit for repairing the sprinklers I’m very disappointed in the customer service from the office. Today when visiting I called Joe and he suggested I call the guys that do the seed as he doesn’t do that. In my opinion, Joe made the sale, and he could care less about what’s done outside as he wouldn’t even walk out to see it and then suggested I walk up to the maintenance guys and have them come see it. I approached Eric with maintenance and he apologized and agreed that dads grave should not look the way it does. I’m anxious to visit again in 7/27/20 and look forward to seeing new grass! Let’s cross our fingers that’s what happens.

7/27/2020-EXTREMELY frustrated is an understatement ! There is absolutely NO excuse for the lack of care provided for my dads final resting place. Sunrise you have had amble opportunity to make this right, hot temperatures, COVID etc still is no excuse for lack of upkeep of the grounds not only for our family members but so many others. It really must be all about the almighty dollar and not about the compassion (as you expressed when we met originally). I, along with my sisters and mom will continue to fight for our dad. He deserves nothing but the best and this is far from it. My sister went out again today to check up on the progress (that you assured on 7/17/20 would be addressed) and NOTHING has been done. The picture in the right is the exact same as the left-10 days later and no change. Why would we even consider buying the additional lots (you continue to try to sell us) when this is the care received???nIf you are considering Sunrise as your final resting place or for a loved one, please reconsider!nnFeeling very disappointed in Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Muskegon. My dad passed away in January and in April and in May my sister and her husband raked up the dirt and removed large rocks and planted grass seed over dads grave. She has called the cemetery three times asking them to please get some seed planted and run the sprinklers. We visited again on June 18 for dads birthday and it is still the same, weeds, no seed or grass and dirt, they have made no attempt to making this right. They assured us they would take care of it weeks ago. We are almost to the point of bringing sod! It was sad when we were there last week as an older man had brought his own lawn mower, fertilizer, and weed whipper to clean up the grave site of his loved one. So heartbreaking that dads finally testing place is so neglected.

Been getting the run-around since August. Wife's grandmother's marker was ordered in August and we were just told TODAY that it will be six more weeks before it will even arrive, let alone be placed. No one can give an answer as to why. Rob seems to blame everyone but himself. Nothing about this process has gone smoothly. Rest in Peace somewhere else, seriously.
