Norton Cemetery

I went to visit the gravesite of my uncle who just died, and I was also searching for other loved ones laid to rest in this cemetery but could not recall where their grave sites were. It was around 1-1:30 middle of the day, middle of the week. (June 6 2018) I was the only vehicle for quite awhile. I was careful to keep moving my vehicle so as not to block anyone since roadways are very narraow with steep edges. I pulled to one side as much as possible each time while stopping to walk through the cemetery for a short time in search of the grave sites. I even read through the rules on the grounds building for instructions on how I was to park within the cemetery but there were none. I finally found my relatives’ grave sites. As I was trying to take note of where they were so I could locate easily next time, I heard a loud horn honking. I heard it again and again and again. I adjusted my eyes in the bright sun and through the shaded areas to see a black crossover vehicle parked closely behind me and honking loudly at my empty white vehicle. As I walked up I tried to give a half smile and they stared at me with completely stone cold expressions . I promtly left the cemetery and re-entered in main entrance and looked for a place that would not block anyone. There was plenty of room this time and yet another woman vered around me giving me a very dirty scowl as she drove by. She vered off in front of me got out of her car, then back in and left a couple minutes later. She clearly knew what she was doing in this cemetery so I pulled up and parked where she had so I could process what was happening and try to memorize where my relatives grave sites are. A third truck drove by me. He was shaking his head at me looking angry.nNow I’m thinking, where am I?! Is this like a hidden camera show? Do Inhave a sign on my vehicle that says please be rude to me??These very rude people had no idea who I was or who I just lost or what state or mind I could be in. They had every opportunity to be kind and maybe let me know I was doing something I shouldn’t be(?) (Hint: cars go in reverse too.) Instead I was met with such utter rudeness. Mind blowing rudeness. This is how we operate within the SL Cemetery where I have never experienced such rudeness, such mean behaviors in all the many years I’ve been visiting. This was so disappointing. If there is a parking lot I’m supposed to park in or other rules, could someone please let me know because I didn’t see anything like that, only buildings with doors, etc that I was afraid to block and there were no signs, only burial rules. How is anyone to know? If that had happened to my poor mother, she would have had a panic attack or worse. People, how you treat others matters! Behavior 101: be kind to people especially inside a cemetery!
