Knapp's Music has got to be one of the, if not the oldest music stores in Bangor area. Right downtown the place has a wicked cool vibe and you never know what gem's you might find there. Dan is awesome and will help you find the perfect instrument. He also does repairs and with as many years experience as he has I don't know if I would trust anyone else.

Knapp music went out of their way for me. They had a travel guitar I wanted. I bought it but it has some issues - not at all fault of the store. They fixed it and shipped it after it broke without any charge. They genuinely just wanted me to have an awesome lil' guitar. Support this place!

Difficulty finding parking was my first observation. I wasn't shopping for instruments and by the photos it appears they have a nice selection of sheet music. They don't! I was looking for piano music. No popular music at all. A few show tunes, instructional, many were water damaged but really not much worth driving around the block a couple times for parking. They approached me to kindly to assist but there is really nothing else I can comment on.

I take my Guitar lessons there. It's a nice store. They have pianos,guitars,ukuleles,and drums.(Probably many others)
