Not worth the trouble of trying to do business here - if this place isn’t closing early, or shut down for some random holiday, they’re wanting you to make appointments weeks in advance to come to the show room. Yes, you got that right. Appointments. Weeks in advance. Right around the corner from them are beer gardens and other public retail businesses who are open and welcoming and have applied common sense measures to protect their customers against Covid infection. But not Ferguson. On our last attempt to do a lot of business with them they seemed almost bothered by even having to suggest we needed an appointment to come see them. I have no idea how a local plumbing and plumbing hardware store would be so insanely busy they would need to do that. But this is pretty much the state of retail businesses in southern Maine. Personally, I find these types of practices and businesses to be obnoxious, lazy, passive, and not at all grateful or thankful for the glut of business they have. The markets will eventually cool down, and all of these small little Maine businesses will be begging for foot traffic. It’s as if most of the southern section of the state has no idea how to manage business.

Service slow....very slow. Bring a coffee and a newspaper to pass the time. Only 2 guys work the counter...and the Receptionist who answers the phone does a great job....when shes there....but 60% of the time shes not and goes to voice mail. Good luck getting a call back if you actually leave a message.nnInside sales do a great job but they are being flooded and overwhelmed.... I've actually seen inside sales at the counter to make up for only 2 guys working the counter which has created delays in their responses back to you.nnWent down hill when this company was bought by Ferguson..... Prior to them being Ferguson's... this company WAS the crown jewel of supply houses in the Portland area... You are in-and-out In less than 10 minutes... now its way more wait time unless you go to inside sales.... and get lucky that they are not on the phone....
