Excellent and authentic italian! I stopped in for a morning pastry and had an espresso with the owner.
I encounter a man a the cashier that charge me $21.69 for 3 cannoli, 1 loaf of bread and 5 cookies. When I asked for the receipt, he didn't want to provide it he was very rude.

Great cafe in Highwood, Il! I feel like I am in Italy when I am in there.
The Italian food was really good and had cappuccinos with pastries for dessert. Like being in a small village in Italy. The owner was really nice and took care of us like we were regulars, even though it was our first there. Very enjoyable experience.
