Perkins Restaurant & Bakery

I took my dad in for breakfast early in the morning. Our server was a tall, beautiful girl whose name I won't share for the sake of her privacy. She was incredibly thoughtful and when I expressed to her that we had religious dietary restrictions, she volunteered the information that all the food is cooked on the same grill. Then she offered to have them clean it before cooking our food where pork products had been and my heart melted. And the food and prices and cleanliness were great. ud83dudcaf

When you go to a chain restaurant it's easy to think that they are all the same. they all tend to look the same from the outside; they have the same menu; and often the same decor. But as in so many other things, people make the difference. This Perkins restaurant in Ames is our hands down favorite. The staff works smoothly and professionally. They must have consistent training for their wait staff, because you never see anyone getting flustered or confused. After we received our breakfast, the server checked on us multiple times. That might sound like something that you would simply expect to have happen, but it is less common than you might think.

Stopped in with my elderly parents for breakfast. Both the food and service were very good. I especially liked the 55+ menu of smaller portions.

Absolutely without a doubt ( Anymore ) the best dinner I have had at Perkins ever. I haven't been to Perkins in quite awhile. Like years awhile. Mostly due to just wasn't a good experience all around the times I did go. Which wasn't my choice but was the choice of others we were meeting up with. Choice tonight was one of my grandsons and what a good choice it was. Host was great, our server, well he was fantastic from the start and even the food was best I've ever had there. I will go back for sure now

The food was good! Our waitress was nice and polite! The restroom for women's was okay but the stalls door and the walls in it need to be cleaned! They say that you know how they clean the kitchen by the way the bathroom looks!
