SouthWest Water Company

Everyone looking at buying or building a home in areas served by this company should STOP and weigh a lifetime commitment to SWS before purchasing! Had I known my options and the reputation of this company beforehand, I would have chosen another city like Helena where trash, water, and sewer all cost less than $100/ month - in my city, the sewer alone is nearly $100 and will continue to climb. It's price gauging.

I have been a customer for nearly 10 years and I have made my payment on time, every month, for over 100 straight months. I recently forgot to pay my January bill. I received NO email notification, NO phone call, NO notification that I missed payment. Until I receive a letter in the mail that was bright red and warming that my account was in serious default and my service was at risk for being disconnected. This is the worst example of a company doing business that I have ever seen. Not only was my account not in “serious default” as it wasn’t even a month late, but to send that to a long time paying customer is just plain rude. I am not even sure why we pay $115 (nearly $1500 a year) for your service. You provide one thing and it’s not that expensive. Unfortunately I have no other option but it should be expected that a utility company not completely rip off customers. And if you are, DO NOT send me a notification like this again or I will make it my personal mission to ruin this company’s name (doing a pretty good job on your own as evidenced by the 38 google ratings averaging 1.1 out of 5 stars). Pathetic.

This company stinks.

If I didn’t even have to give them one star I wouldn’t. They racked up my bill to triple the amount it’s supposed to be without any reason whatsoever. I contacted them countless times for figure it out and was not helped one time and was only told it’s because I missed a payment which I have proof did not happen. This company is a joke.

i appreciate them coming in and making the investments that finally brought us up to Federal quality standards. SO glad our environment is getting the attention that the old ELECTED operators would not spend to keep their jobs.. and love how people are willing to spend $200 a month for cable or phone but not willing to treat their waste before it enters our streams.... sure must be cheap to do.
