In contrast with several reviews on this page, our experience with Embassy Home Builders was positive and favorable in all aspects and we definitely recommend this builder. As a practicing geologist, I evaluate things very closely and realize that reviews are always unique to each individual purchaser and are related to the stage of construction when you become involved, timing of contracts written, personalities of those your are in contact with, building site and home construction complexities, etc. and like the modern medical field the “patient” has to be a large part of the decision making process from lot choices to closing. Accordingly, individual reviews rarely are on the same basis, but the individuals we were involved with were helpful overall and particularly Nick Smelcer who is the overall construction manager for the development at Southern Trace. Our post-closing issues have been addressed in a reasonable time frame and we believe the price and quality of construction are a substantial value when compared to that that of other construction and markets in the overall Birmingham-Leeds-Moody area. Again, we definitely recommend this builder.

I purchased a house 7 months ago, and My expectations have been exceeded. The house is beautiful, and a great community for my children to play outside. If you are looking to purchase in the Moody area make sure to check out the Oak Hill subdivision. You will not be disappointed.

We absolutely LOVE our home and the AMAZING community in Oak Hill. Jared Murphy who is the building super(manager) for the neighborhood is one of the kindest people I’ve ever met!! From the first day we looked at the homes right up to now he has been the absolute best person in the world to work with. Kellie Mack, one of the on-sight realtors and is absolutely fabulous too!! She made the buying process actually fun with her witty sense of humor!! I 1000 percent recommend this team to anyone looking to purchase a well-built beautiful home. If the other building managers/realtors that work for this company are half as good as Jared and Kellie then you are in store for a wonderful experience. Our experience was awful. We wasted times and energy and emotion into thinking that we would get our dream home. We agreed to whatever they asked us to do from booking the plot to the next... so when it came to the final contract, we were told that the builder increased the base price of this home! Like what on earth? I’ve never seen anything like this. We were buying 300k plus home for God sake and it’s no joke that when you come close to the final agreement you decided to change the price? We were told that because the construction materials cost increase. Mind you all these happened only within a period of 1 month.nIf you decide to increase the price, you may start with your future customers not with the one who was told the previous price. There were several things that bothered us as well but I don’t want to raised them here.nThey don't care at all about customer's satisfaction. We’re so grateful to God that the deal didn’t happen, especially after reading all these other reviews. We are now dealing with another renown builder and the experience is nothing but pleasant!
