The most disgraceful thing in life, one could do, might be what I witnessed at Alabama National Cemetery. Apparently someone overbooked and my friends funeral was rushed out of the cemetery. The family did get a graveside, instead they got to look at heavy equipment and four employees lowering my friend in his grave from across the street. After this everyone was asked to move their cars because they had another funeral coming through. Total time for my friends funeral was about 30 minutes. My friend was a Lt Colonel of the Army. It was an embarrassment to our country and Alabama National Cemetery.
I had no idea this was here in Alabama. Beautiful! I'm here right before veterans day and every maker has its flag. Thank you for your service!
This was the perfect place to lay my dad to rest. So quiet and peaceful. Veterans take care of this place so you can be assured it is in good hands. Everyone was so nice and had genuine care for my loss. You can feel in your heart that Gods presence is here to comfort the pain of loss. My dad was a Vietnam veteran that suffered a lot of depression in his life but now he is free. There is a scenic view that has a running stream that I could envision my dad sitting on the creek bank fishing..he loved to fish..hunt.. anything outdoors..going to miss him dearly.
Both of my parents are here, and the staff has always been helpful and kind.
Beautiful, well maintained resting place for the men and women that served our country.
