Beautifully Redeemed Treasures

Tammy did a wonderful job painting an unfinished piece of furniture for me! I had originally planned on just getting hints from her, but once I was in the shop and saw her work, I decided to let her take it on. I was so pleased with the result. I will soon be back as she is going to advise me on how to use the wonderful Dixie Belle products to paint my bathroom vanity. She is so patient and kind and her work is absolutely GORGEOUS!!

Tammy committed to do a makeover for my 30+ year old kitchen. We had replaced the floors but While the cabinets were still sturdy, their exteriors were very sad. Plus, I wanted to add a few cabinets.nI was anxious about painting because of scrapes. I really use my kitchen. She explained about the new Dixie Belle paint she that solves that problem and told me about their gator hide topcoat. So glad I trusted her! I have dropped things, held my breath and then looked. It’s almost like Teflon! Things don’t damage it and I haven’t had anything I couldn’t wash off.nnShe built in my island and finished ends of all cabinets with beadboard. I wanted them to be a little rustic but not too much glaze so she decided to lightly sand edges of face trim with foam sand block to expose the oak pin stripe edge. When light hits the oak stripe it just glows with the gator hide. It was beautiful! She added a new pantry cabinet beside refrigerator and a new Buffet bar with 3 unfinished cabinets.nnEverything is painted an off-white linen color with new, beautiful little glass knobs that sparkle in the sunshine in the mornings. The prism effect is so uplifting.nnShe suggested a shelf storage unit with slide-out baskets for on the side of my pantry cabinet. I agreed and am so glad that she is so creative! It really is nice for those things that lay on counters and you really don’t have a place to keep.nnShe finished my dining room table and chairs with linen and chocolate glaze. The top of table was damaged, but no more! She sanded and finished it in natural oak. Stunning!nnI am so blessed to have this new kitchen and dining room set thanks to Tammy.
