Lion
Very good selection throughout the store with more than one employee at the deli (three at the time I was there), and more than two checkouts open. Heck, I didn't even have to wait to begin checking out! Staff was thoroughly wiping down everything. In these times, especially with that more contagious strain being out, that goes a long way. This Food Lion in particular has shown that it cares about its customers and their safety.
Clean and roomy. Staff is the BEST! One nice lady even went to the back to get an item that was not on the shelf. New register layout a great design to help them refill the cart. Love it..
I love this store. It's so clean and friendly. Not to mention the food lion brands are really good. And they are almost always on sale.
I don't know of its just culture shock or whether this was the best experience I've had in a grocery store I've had in years. I was greeted warmly, when an associate couldn't answer a question, they found someone who could find the answer, and then did. I have often forgot that this sits on the hill, but I will not make that mistake again, trust me. You will be receiving the majority of my grocery business for the foreseeable future.
