They either don’t answer your email or, if they do, they tell you to look at the website. Thank you, very helpful! Result is I have been here for six years and I haven’t been able to start any practice through them because the website and the steps to do are confusing and they won’t bother helping you through emails.

I’m very impressed with this consulate. In most consulates you have to either try to find the info you need on their web page or go in person to get an answer to your question. I have already had to write about 5-6 emails to this consulate regarding obtaining Italian citizenship and I get the exact reply I need to my question on the same day or at the most the next day. I wish all consulates were this professional. Excellent customer service !

terrible service, the person i spoke to was rude, and barely knew any information, not only did he not know what he was talking about , he could not even speak english. If i could i would give him -5 stars

They don't respond to my emails and do not answer the phone. How am I supposed to reach out? My Italian drivers license is about to expire in less than 30 days, I live in Dallas and I can't just take a whole day off and drive 4 hours to Houston, just to find out what I need to do. They are being a barrier to the whole process!nnEDIT: I finally got in touch with a very nice lady and I am very grateful! Thanks!

It's so frustrating and disappointing that the only place an Italian has in a foreign country to get help lets you down. I emailed, explained what I needed, made an appointment to discover that they cannot help me. Considering that the COVID is making everything difficult to manage, I was expecting more help from my country. Also, while trying to explain my problem and why I needed them, the person on the other side was talking over me. I was dismissed like I was a nuisance. I don't know if I'm more disappointed or ashamed of the Italian consulate. I guess this is just the Italian way to cope with la legge del menga...
