As a local, I love introducing out-of-town friends and family to Pritzer whenever they come to visit, and have NEVER been disappointed! Their baked goods are always absolutely delicious; I recommend their speciality cookies, since they are one-of-a-kind! For the people who prefer savory over sweet, the soft baked pretzel is hot and salty and to die for! Additionally, the employees are friendly and efficient, which is especially important when the line goes out the door, which happens more often than not, particularly on the weekends. Great little sweet shop that you don’t want to miss!

I live in Austin and came up for the weekend and loved this place!! If you’re looking to support a local, sustainable, down-home place with friendly staff and DELICIOUS dessert - This. Is. The. Place. And, I felt so safe and well taken care of, which I consider a huge bonus in COVID times. Keep up the yummy work, Pritzer!!!

Man it’s so disappointing to leave this one star review because it’s solely based on the lack of safety and concern from the staff. The food they make is always exceptional but on my visit today 12/2020 the girl working behind the counter didn’t have any mask on. She sees 100s of customers per day isn’t she the least bit concerned? More importantly the owner doesn’t have a sign posted about wearing a mask even though the Texas governor made wearing a mask required. Until this business can respect the simplest of rules I won’t return.

I came in to try the sweet German pretzels and left with a plethora of goods because everything sounded amazing. I have tried a lot of other bakeries lately that fell short of anything near satisfying, this is not one of those places. The flavor profiles of every item were thoughtful and unique which is what I appreciated the most. The chocolate croissant was perfectly layered, soft and crunchy, with a hint of hazelnut in the chocolate filling. The apple tart was one of my favorites because the filling was warm and homey with flavors I can’t put my finger on! I was also a big fan of the cookies, fruity pebble and marshmallow, and whiskey bacon chocolate chip. Thin with ripples, soft inside and more crunchy outside. They also had great soft salted pretzels, fruit and cream cheese pastries. We thoroughly enjoyed everything we tried! That is a hard thing to say about most places. Of course I think every pastry is best warmed for a few seconds, and they will do that for you! Highly recommend stopping by and trying for yourself! It is one of my new Fredericksburg traditions.

Delicious cookies and pastries! I specifically loved the chocolate chunk cookie and the raspberry/cream croissant.
