After getting turned away by a couple other dessert shops during covid I ended up at Pokey O's. This is definitely one of those places that took that homemade dessert feeling and implemented it into an ice cream sandwich. The guy working was super nice, the sandwich was honestly too large but that's not an issue (he warned me but I didn't listen) and the price isn't bad for what you get. If I was down in the area craving an ice cream sandwich I'd come back for sure.
If you THINK you have had good ice cream try Pokey O's and you will have had GREAT ice cream. Grab a menu as you come in as it has all the flavors on it. Had coconut and also a banana split that were great. Be careful of their chocolate as it is a really intense chocolate. My wife had caramel swirl and coffee an said both were great.
Very friendly service! Amazing quality in unique, fresh baked cookies and they've got Blue Bell ice cream on deck! Conveniently located right next to SMU campus, the highway (75) and Mockingbird Station.
This cookie sandwich is the best I've ever had! The state fair cookie is a meal in itself!
The Ice Cream is so good! It was like an old fashioned ice cream parlor, hat and all. So many choices, hard to decide the flavor to get. I got the coconut, so creamy and tasted fabulous!
