My wife ordered a Dominican cake a week in advance. When we arrived to pick it up it was very obvious our cake was forgotten about. One was pulled from the display case and given to us. It was very far from the cake we ordered. Though the cake wasn't bad, we were very disappointed to not have what we were anticipating.

Valentine's Day, lazy husband. Need carrot cake. And it's SUNDAY!nnSo I start the usual Google Maps search looking for open bakeries on a Sunday. Called several places that were open with no luck for carrot cake. By chance found Balcazar, open, but they didn't have any carrot cake. Never fear, they offered to make one and turn it around in 1.5 hours! I was assured the baker made excellent carrot cake. As you can see, I had very little choice but to go with this option. So I place the order and tell the wife we have success! (with fingers crossed)nI arrived right on time to pick up the cake (6p sharp). The very nice lady that took my order over the phone was excited to see me. She even wanted to take a picture of me with the cake before I left. She was very sweet (pun intended). Ok, that's all well and good, but was the cake good? My wife and I both LOVE carrot cake, and know not every carrot cake is created equal. Such is the case with this one. IT WAS DELICIOUS! We may have to drive past 10 other bakeries to get to Balcazar, but I guarantee we'll be back!

Found this gem when looking for a cheesecake for a birthday party. It was excellent! Everyone loved it! I highly recommend Balcazar Bakery and would definitely use them again.

Won't be doing this again. Bought a cake for a birthday. Chocolate icing, yellow cake. No flavor! Soggy bottom. No chocolate flavor at all.

Bakery has awesome hours and a kind lady to serve, however, the tiramisu is not tiramisu! A soggy cake with an abundancent of cinnamon. ud83dude29ud83dude29ud83dude29 I threw the rest out!!!nnTheir flaky crust sweets are good and great quality! ud83dude1b
