U-Haul Trailer Hitch Super Center at Bardstown

Very slow service. Got a hitch installed. Quoted me $364 over the phone and by email then tried to charge me over $400. They fixed that then my parking locked up and they decided to go ahead and drive it out of thier bay causing damage to my vehicle. I will be contacting the branch manager and anyone else I need to for them to cover the cost of the damage they caused. I easily got my parking brake to release when I arrived. Had they called me sooner or not taken an hour and a half to check me out my van might not have been damaged. I would not reccomend this place to anyone.

A huge shout out to Ashley for the best customer service anyone could ever give and a huge shout out to Charlie, to the man that actually checked me out. They were both excellent, treated me with respect and they were very understanding with my concerns. They were willing to stay open late for me to get there and they both went well above and beyond their job duties. I really appreciate the way they made me feel. By the time I left I was smiling and happy.

This place is mismanaged and these people have no idea what customer service is. We needed a trailer hitch so we specifically contacted a place that calls itself a “trailer hitch super center” on June 21. They estimate a cost of over $300 (seems pricey to me) and schedule an appointment for June 28. We are picking up the trailer June 29 and leaving on vacation June 30 so this is tight, but doable.nnWe call on June 27 to confirm and they tell us they have to reschedule (for next week) because they have not received the hitch from the warehouse yet. Can’t reschedule. What do you mean you haven’t received from the warehouse? Doesn’t a trailer hitch super center keep them in stock? We ask if an area UHaul has it in stock. The guy says he will check and call us back. Soon he calls back with “good news”. There is a store in Lexington (over 100 miles away) that has one and he has made an appointment for us to have it installed there. We have to do it, but are not happy. They could not get the hitch to us, but sent us to the hitch. We have to spend the time and gas to go to Lexington. They give us no compensation or discount for the hardship caused by their screw-up. Sent a complaint to UHaul corporate and got no response.nnLate afternoon on June 27 I get an email confirming our appointment the next day in Louisville.nnMorning of the June 28 my wife spends an hour on the phone with UHaul. Louisville or Lexington? When she calls they say she isn’t scheduled for a hitch anywhere. By the time she is off the phone, they have rescheduled the appointment in Lexington and she has to drive the 100 miles each way. When she gets to Lexington they have her scheduled for a pick--up. She has to wait until they can work her in.nnNever doing business with this or any other UHaul ever.
