Papa Bears Movers

I usually don’t review unless there is something exceptional or truly bad about a service or good. Unfortunately, this was one of the truly bad experiences I have had in awhile. I was moving to a different city and while packing a couple days before the move, I strained my back. I had a couple people who could help me out but I decided that I needed to hire a couple extra movers to help expedite the process since I would not be able to carry heavy loads on my own. 24 hours from the time I was planning on moving, I called Papa Bear movers and talked with a man named Tim who said he was part of the company. I asked him if 24 hours was too short of a notice for movers and he said it was fine. He then asked for my address and name and let me know a crew would be there to assist me during my move.nnFast forward to the next day and the crew never showed up. I called Tim multiple times and never received a call back or response from him. This company completely “no-showed” me. Luckily I didn’t pay, but since my back was strained, this significantly impacted my move nonetheless.nnI understand that this was short notice, but to be told everything was fine and then to not even call or respond to let me know that nobody would show up and to never reach out to try to reconcile if there was a misunderstanding is completely unacceptable in this scenario when you’re depending on having someone be somewhere at a specific time and place.nnI caution anyone who might consider using this service to make sure that they get some sort of confirmation if they book these movers or deal with the man named Tim. I see there are plenty of good reviews, so I cannot say they aren’t reputable, but they completely dropped the ball on me when I needed their services the most.

The crew was exceptionally friendly. I was impressed with their services as they they were fast and efficient. They worked hard and took no breaks until the truck was loaded.nnBest of all, they accepted a moving job that was only 24 hours in advance. I would highly recommend Papa Bears Movers for all your moving needs. I wish them the very best!nOnce again, thanks Papa Bear Movers!

Excellent men! They were on time and worked for the full two hours without any breaks. They were extremely efficient and got everything off of our moving truck and into our new home. They carried large and heavy furniture into the correct rooms and placed it where we asked. We were very impressed!

We used Papa Bear Movers a couple of years ago. They traveled to Sneads Ferry, packed one of the largest UHaul trucks with our furniture and boxes, drove to Holden Beach, and unloaded everything! They were the best! If we ever move again, we'd sure use them. Great guys, by the way.

The workers did a good job and we're very personable. They showed up late, worked more slowly than other companies we have used, and dropped one of our appliances.
