Flowers Baking Co DBA Bakery Outlet (Nature's Own)

This may be a New Orleans owned company but the workers in there are clearly born and raised in the Mississippi. I have been in several times and noticed that whenever black people walk into the store, they are rarely greeted at all. The employees don't speak to them nor say thank you when they are paying their money. At first I thought it was just random but every single time I have visited this store, they smile and speak to the white people entering but not the black people. There has only been one time that I have visited and they were actually talking to a black woman and I got the feeling that she probably goes in there often. Even so, there were no smiles, just a dry acknowledgement.nnThe products that I have purchased over the past several months are never fresh. They are always within date but stale and hard. I even bought a soda on a few occasions and they were flat. While this may be a convenient stop, I prefer civil respect for a paying customer rather than a quick stop.nnUPDATED:nI had to update this review to 3 stars instead of one. I have visited the store three or four times since the review and I must say there was definitely an improvement with attitudes and customer service. The cashiers are greeting everyone that come in and they smile with everyone regardless of who they are. Complete turn around from all of my previous concerns when the original review was written several months ago. Maybe someone saw my review..... :-) But, the freshness is the same but to be expected from a bread store. Again, the product is all within the expiration date but just not as fresh but it's worth the price when you need to grab something quick without going into the grocery stores.
