My brother Rick passed unexpectedly on 10-22-19. It has been sad and painful especially for my 87 1/2 year old Mother to burying her son. They were more than accommodating to us. They made things better at this time of sorrow and easy for our family. I appreciate their kindness and attention. Thank you so much. Rick is resting in Peace now.

This is a beautiful Jewish cemetery with a rich history. It is interesting to walk through the cemetery and read some of the inscriptions on the monuments and markers. Some of them are really sad when you realize it marks the spot of a child, but then a few spaces over is the grave of a centenarian. There are lots of people buried here who made a big contribution to the Jewish community, but there are also lots of ordinary people buried here who quietly lived their lives. An interesting and quiet place to visit, to marvel at the architecture of the many private mausoleums, sacarphagi, monuments, markers, to enjoy the natural beauty of the surroundings.

For 168 years we have provided Jewish families with a time-honored final resting place for their loved ones.nnWe welcome you to explore our 52 acres of beautifully maintained grounds and learn more about the architecture and history.nnIn this cemetery are many men and women who contributed greatly to St. Louis, including rabbis, cantors, philanthropists, business leaders, political figures, and veterans from every major conflict since the Mexican-American War in 1846.
