One of the best places for ice cream in St. Mary's County. There's a few constants, but it is also exciting that there is new flavors almost every day. It's a tradition to stop here on big feast days and solemnities. Great place to meet with friends and family!nFYI: There is no indoor seating, but there is benches to sit on outside. Plus, it is always nice to pop the tailgate and enjoy a treat with some friends as the sun sets on a summer's Sunday.
I hadn't been in a long time and my experience today reminded of why. I waited 15 minutes for a blast. Received what appears to be a cup of liquid ice cream. I watched the girl pour the excess in the trash behind the counter before handing it to me and asked me if I needed extra napkins. Didn't even give me napkins to begin with. Never again. Disappointed and grossed out.
I have been very disappointed with Bruster's Ice Cream. The consistancy is not that of a true hand-dipped ice cream; if I want soft serve I would go to Dairy Queen. I consider myself an ice cream connoisseur reviewing establishments on my travels by boat and car from Maryland to Florida. Bruster's is not for hand-dipped lovers.
Its all kids that work here, you never know what kind of service youre going to get. They give me a hard time about putting lids on everything in the drive thru when I had six orders. should I really have to ask for lids three times and say if you dont put lids on these items im not taking the order, then Im the bad guy. its a joke .......
Pros: Delicious ice cream in various flavours. Easy to read signage. Specials on Banana Splits. (Thursdays) Friendly staff. Good value. Cons: outdoor seating uncomfortable , not inviting looking & worn. No shade.
