Bollywood Masala

It's been a while since I dined here. There is poor communication between the staff, had us waiting for a while until I asked someone if anyone was taking our order. This place used to have better service few years ago. Lets hope the food hasn't changed. The waiter noticed me writing this review, so lets hope they don't spit or do something to my food. I just think that seeing it's saturday evening, they would be on the ball and making sure every table is checked on to make sure there won't be much delay and have free tables for next customers.

We love going out. Yesterday we found this excellent restaurant which we didn’t know before. We had a delightful evening there with fine cooking and a courteous team and a talented chef. We added this venue in our list and we shall surely come back very soon. We highly recommend.

Quality Indian food. A little on the expensive side, but definitely worth and a must try. They also have a bar.

I absolutely love the food here, it is AMAZING! BUT DO NOT DINE IN. This review is separate from the tap house, only for the restaurant portion. My friends and I frequently go to Bollywood because we are obsessed with the food, but after our most recent trip on a Friday night I will never dine inside again. When we arrived we sat down and waited 20 minutes for someone to take order, honestly this didn’t even bother me, the food was worth it so we made the best of our time. There was no waitress, only a lady who sat us. The owner came out and began taking several orders for tables that were waiting. We had been sitting there 20 minutes longer than the other tables who just sat down and he took there orders first, again no big deal we waited our turn. What really bothered me was when every other table got their food before us. I called over the owner, who is the only person that would take orders, and mentioned that we had been there before everyone else who had already received their food and were almost finished with their meals. I did not mention this in an aggressive way or anything, just simple feedback. The owner told me that I was wrong, that we did not sit down before the other people, and walked away. That moment is what made me loose respect for this place. If you had a waiter or waitress that would take orders, you would know what tables sat at what times. The owner had no idea nor did he care that we sat 20 minutes before everyone else, they received their food 40 minutes before us, and we still waited another 30 minutes for our food. Again, I’m a pretty chill person, but on a Friday night be prepared to run the restaurant in an efficient way. I’ll wait an hour and a half for food, but don’t insinuate that I am lying about when I sat down. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll still order take out, but advice for all, don’t dine inside of the restaurant.

The curry was good, but the peshwari naans were overcooked and dried out. At $9 each, it was disappointing. Portions were a bit small. Overall an okay experience but we probably won't make the trip to go back.nETA: We called ahead and collected the food to take home. There was a delay, but I don't mind waiting a little bit too have fresh food to take home (rather than when it's waiting for you and gets cold).
