Their cigar pastries are the best!!! Their coffee fantastic. But their customer service is even better. I am so glad that we decided to stop here. There are so many good things on the menu. I can't wait to go back.

I’ve been here a few times, but the service and quality have been very inconsistent for me (which makes it hard to know whether or not I want to come back again). Staff is generally very kind, but often seemed overwhelmed. I love supporting small businesses, so I’d rather have someone like The Beanery take my money than Starbucks.nnToday, I ordered a latte I didn’t like because it was too sweet. Not their fault per say. Went to the counter to get a drip coffee to replace it, and had to pay for it, which is fine, too. I get it. Then I waited 15 minutes to get that drip coffee - they had forgotten about me.nnOther times I’ve gotten what I ordered within a “reasonable” time frame, and it’s usually good enough. Pastries are okay, but would recommend getting them heated because if not they are very cold (at least in my experience).nnLast thing I’ll say is the food they make looks and smells good, so maybe that’s a reason to come again? Anyway, worth a try if you need a coffee; maybe you’ll get lucky.

Had high hopes, but left disappointed. This is the first I've been here since they first opened. The shop is cute, cozy, and trendy. The service left room to be desired. Received the pastry right away, but the barista completely forgot the coffee we ordered. They were slightly busy, but nothing crazy, so we waited patiently for awhile. Eventually got up and asked. She admitted she forgot. Asked for a refund. The coffee was delicious. The pastry looked good, but tasted just so-so.

I like their coffee than Starbucks. I just wish that they have sweet level more clearly like 1 to 5. I always ask them make not sweet, and they makes less sweetened, but still too sweet to me. It ruins coffee beans flavor...

Probably the only place to get good non-Starbucks espresso in st Mary’s. Prices for food (pastry and sandwich was about $20). I still think the prices are a little high for area in my opinion The coffee, cold brew, espresso are amazing, totally recommend as the highest quality in California. Appreciate the owner reaching out, really great customer service every time I’ve visited.
