It's not a cute look for the only helpful and friendly person working at the Irish embassy to be the American girl at the front desk. The Irish woman who I am assuming was her supervisor was extremely condescending and Curt to my family and me. I find it puzzling that someone who clearly lacks interpersonal skills would ever think it appropriate to work in any field remotely associated with diplomacy or public service.

Was a bit of an idiot and lost my passport. The staff were kind and sorted me out immediately. Dont know what the Americans are on about the phone. It works fine and I was answered immediately. Probably just them being stupid.

Amazing. Of course, not as good as the Embassy of the Algerian Military, but still stellar.

Ireland visa application is the worst among all European countries I have visited (French schengen is the best). Embassy will not give you any update about the status. There is a number to call, which costs $30+ for a single conversation, without giving you any useful information. The call is $3/min, and yes, the representative tried hard to prolong the conversation to make more money.

If you call them you just get an automated answering message. Whenever it can it will direct you to the website and hang up on you ... lazy government office
