The cemeteries that make up this complex cover a large area. I found medallions honoring veterans of the Revolutionary War, War of 1812, both sides of the Civil War, and the Spanish-American War.

This cemetery is clustered in and around 13 other cemeteries, some since abandoned. There is no dog walking allowed, however, many frequent this area to walk their pets and there doesn't seem to be many issues. This is close to home and always a terrific place to visit if you are looking for some peace and quiet.

Friendly lawn is always taken care of.

A cemetery complex that incorporates approximately 13 separate sites, including the Alexandria national cemetery. This site began around 1804 and over the last 200 years has changed and evolved. With a wide range of grave markers and a quiet, clean and well maintained place, it's worth a stop to see 200 years of history and also for a quiet get away.
