Great hidden gem. Friendly welcoming staff. Always top shelf quality. If they bottled the aroma that greets you when you walk in the door I would buy it by the gallon.
One of my favorite little coffee shops to go on Douglas Loop. The interior is small and simple but the real draw here are the baked goods.nnThey have a wide selection of pasties and freshly baked bread. I highly reccomend their cheese danishes. The coffee is also high quality and on par with other local coffee shops.
Bread is awesome! I wish they took contactless payments, but understand, they're a small operation.
For a tasty, morning pasty you just can't top Breadworks.nnThat's the bottom line. I've searched Louisville high and I've search low. Had experiences of all kind. I was the Goldilocks of morning treats (Donuts excluded). One place was too expensive. Another place didn't have have a good selection. Yet another place wasn't open on Mondays (a day I seem to surprisingly always want a morning treat).nnBut Breadworks? Hits all the high notes. GREAT place for all things baked goods!!
