I held for 33 minutes after the voice response system connected me to the switchboard. No one ever picked up. A well-earned one star.nnIn response to a message left during a second attempt, the assistant to the consul General contacted me directly. Excellent assistance and service. Five stars for that one.

Terrible. Have been waiting for 8 months to change my name, have not been helpful at all. They are forcing me to come during a pandemic, putting me at risk when I have no insurance and while I am at high risk of getting sick, getting in a plane and spending money I don’t have just for finger prints.

Coming from South Africa, we need visas for most western countries so I have visited quite a few in my time, this consulate has to be hands down the best one I have ever been to. The employees here are truly great ambassadors for their country. They treat people with respect, dignity and really care. They were wonderful with our kids and the service most importantly was efficient and fast. Special mention to Tanya who was wonderful.

This was really a delightful and pleasant experience for me. I had to get a Schengen visa for an upcoming business trip in February. The personnel who greeted me was nice, efficient and hospitable all at the same time. I arrived at around 9.55 A.M for 10.15 A.M interview and there was another gentleman in the counter. She inquired about my timing and courteously asked me to wait while she served the other customer. On my turn I was asked to slide all the documents through the window which were quickly validated. Since I had fingerprinting done for my previous Schengen visa we breezed through this process. My visa was approved and I was given the ETA and some useful tips for future application. Overall it took around 5 minutes for the whole process and I felt like I was in a travel agency rather than some consulate.nTIP:na) Use the check-list for all the documents needed for the applicationnb) Email the consulate for any specific clarifications related to the documents. They did respond in my case.
