Helpful staff, found what I was looking for. Love the coffee!

Got berated by an off duty employee for a disagreement with a working employee. They disagreement was civil however I was obviously frustrated by the employee not giving me to correct product and refusing to exchange it. I continued to make the correct purchase of the product I asked for in the first place meanwhile I’m being verbally assaulted by the off duty employee. He was cussing me out even after I asked him to stop speaking to me. He continued to disrespect me even while I was completing my transaction. Other customers expressed their discomfort with his tone and choice of words. Unfortunate that Thornton’s is employing someone who represents them in such a negative way when so many people are unemployed and would do a much better job of serving customers and representing them. I called customer service and spoke to an agent who seemed very concerned and apologetic for my experience. Hopefully this can be resolved as this was an extremely embarrassing moment to have happened with a full store of fellow patrons. Luckily there is a kroger has station equal distance away from my home which I will be frequenting NOW instead of Thornton’s

Pumps always broken. Self checkouts always malfunction, I pre paid for gas but it only dispensed a portion of what I paid for and said my purchase was completed (the car could’ve held more, the pump messed up.) You’d think with this store being the closest one to the corporate hq, they’d have a little more oversight on making sure they don’t have equipment malfunctions that blatantly rip off the customer. Thornton’s has gone way downhill since they got bought out. Their facilities services department is rude and terrible at their job.

It's a gas station and convenience store. Not a fan of the self serve checkouts here for some reason.
