My Father passed away this last week and he had made prior arrangements himself earlier on. He chose a good place! Forest Lawn made the process easy for me. As this was the first time having to do a funeral. With COVID things are a lot different, my father was a Vietnam Veteran and was buried at Bushnell National Cemetery. Bushnell didn’t have officers on staff to do honors. Forest Lawn called around and found someone to do full honors for my father! Gil was one of the funeral directors that helped! Thank you! The 2 men that were at the service Thank You as well! Sorry I couldn’t remember your name as my mind was in a bit of a fog! I really appreciate the kindness ud83dudc95 I would recommend Forest Lawn to anyone!!

My entire family is buried here. Throughout many years as a family member would pass. The other family members would tell us others their experience. For the most part they were bad reviews. However, when my mother’s turn was up. I can’t really complain, the changes the funeral home has underwent throughout time has been for the better.nnI felt as though they did a good job with the makeup. I felt like the services went well. My mother looked comfortable and beautiful. There was only two things that I can say far as a negative review. My daughter, 3 oldest sons, my husband and I were my moms pallbearers. Once we got to the graveside... an employee asked whom the pallbearers were so they could be readily available to carry her to her grave. When I stated that it was myself, my daughter, my husband and 3 eldest sons. His reply was , “ The ladies may have trouble carrying the casket.”nnNo sir, we aren’t having any of that sexists stuff. At the time I just responded to him saying , “ We had already carried her to the hearse and we would manage just fine.”nnSecond negative thing I have to say is there was a complete disrespect for my mother’s grave after burial. I went and visited 3 days later. They had just thrown the flower arrangements on top of each other and on top of her grave. Her headstone was pretty much buried. Luckily I had a cleaning cloth in my trunk. I cleaned the headstone, set up the flower arrangements and also cleaned a neighboring headstone because theirs was caked in the mud/dirt from them closing my mothers grave.nnOther than that the director was easy to work with. He’s very informative in walking you through the funeral process. I have a plot that I have to have changed into my name. So let’s see how that experience goes. Thank you Forest Lawn for the changes you have implemented such as allowing us to watch our loved ones being lowered to their final resting place. It makes us feel more apart of the burial process. Hopefully one day you will allow family members to throw the first set of dirt on the casket.

I would highly recommend Forest Lawn to anyone facing a loss or even for preplanning. They worked with me for the loss of my father and provided many different options. Corey Compton did an amazing job of making the process easy. Thank you to all of their staff.

My dad died and was unfortunately taken too this terrible funeral home I had to deal with. I was unable to get an autopsy because they were going to overcharge me and wouldn't give me enough time to find a lawyer that would take his case. They wanted to make me rent out the entire facility to do one because of COVID. I found a Dr myself to do the autopsy which would have been $1000 cheaper because that is how much they charge you just to make a phone call to get a Dr to do an autopsy for you. They lie to you and say you have 10 days free refrigeration then tell you a week later your time is up. I unfortunately didn't do the autopsy because my dad was left for dead for 4 days without refrigeration so I never would have been able to prove the pharmecutical companies killed my dad with opioids anyways. When I finally agreed to the cremation I said I wanted the ashes split between my brother and I they just gave my brother the ashes because he was the one who paid for the cremation because he was the one who got his life insurance money. Anyway they didn't care they got there money which is all they care about. They even lied to me and said they had my dad's ashes and after I drove 2 hours away to pick them up they told me the truth that they gave them all to my brother. There nothing but liars and all they care about is money if your family member dies and is brought there good luck who knows if I'll ever get my dad's ashes!

This was my first time dealing with something like this and never thought i would so early in life. But Chris and all his staff helped me so much in this difficult time, its already hard enough when you loss someone but not knowing what do or how is worse, and they were great. I would recommend them to anyone, they guided me every step of the way and my moms memorial came out so beautiful.
