Mikela with Door to Door Transport company LIED multiple times!nnLIE #1 - Mikela said they are not a broker and advertise they’re a family owned car transportation company and the drivers are also their direct employees. The transport driver said he is a private owner/operator and is NOT an employee of Door to Door. He said he picked up our job from a job board advertisement placed by Door to Door.nnLIE #2 – Mikela said I needed to pay half up front on a charge card and the remaining half would need to be given as cash to the driver upon delivery. She only charged a $295 deposit to my card. The day of the delivery, the driver/owner said he would not take the remaining $900 as cash or personal check and only accepts money orders. This was not half now and half later, she wanted her $295 commission up front.nnLIE #3 – Mikela said she would pass a message to their driver that our car would be placed on the top due to the long distance from WA to GA to avoid oil leaks from the cars on the top. When my car arrived, it was heavily coated with oil and the owner/operator driver said that the advertised listing did not state to place our car on the top. He again stated he is an owner/operator and NOT an employee of Door to Door.nnMikela deceives customers over the phone by being very friendly and pushing the business is “family owned” to gain your trust. After that she will not return calls once the truth starts to be exposed.nnI DO NOT RECOMMEND using Door to Door Transport due to Mikela’s unethical and deceitful ways. The transport driver said Mikela probably has multiple computers and multiple phone numbers to carry on this deceit.

This is really a 0 star company! EXTREMELY unprofessional and unethical! They are THIEVES!!!! I have dealt with them years ago on 2 separate occasions. The first time was OK. They were actually early.nThe second time, my belongings on the inside of my vehicle showed up disfigured, dirty, and my black leather boots were missing. When I noticed and tried to contact the drivers, they would not answer the phone. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! Consider yourself warned. ( when they see this they may try and change, but don’t trust them.) Door to Door, you ALL should be ashamed, and I hope karma “delivers”.

Roy was not only the rudest I encountered while trying to find a carrier to transport my car, but the only one to be rude while trying to do business. I received a text but no email regarding my quote that the text said I would receive. Before making a decision I called Door to Door to find out how much they were quoting. Roy starts setting me up as I’m going with them. Confused by this I asked before going any further if he could tell me what the quote I was. I’m then quoted $695 which was quite significantly higher than the other 9 I had at the time. I had a total of 14 quotes when all was said and done. Only 3 of the 14 were $695 or more. So I declined citing it was my belief the quote was too high in comparison and thanked him for his time, and went to end the call. That’s when he went on a rant about how he can send me screen shot of the rates, that I’m just going to fall victim to bait and switch scam and behaved as if he was totally offended that I had the gall to say the quote was too high. Almost all my quotes were in the mid to high $500’s and he comes in at $695. But everyone else was in the same range, I except door to door. That was red flag #1. To instantly get offended because I said it was too much was red flag #2. To bash competition and claim everyone else is going to scam me except him made red flag #3. After He was done with his rant I told I found him to be quite rude. His response was “why because I’m telling you how it works”. That’s not what made him rude, it was his attitude. I Don’t know if he was having a bad day or what but a customer asking the questions they should be asking (for example, how much?) when looking to hire a transporter is not the enemy. Its literally my job as a consumer to ask questions and be informed. I then called the company I had planned on going with if Door to Door couldnt beat them. This is how it went. I called the company and got myself booked. 20 minutes later I’m being called back by the broker saying he’s got a driver for me and can pick up later that afternoon. 4 hours later my car was being loaded, and 2 days later it was delivered just as promised. And I paid $125 less! So, I did not get scammed. I got the BEST service with another company, the BEST customer service with another company, the BEST transporting experience with another company. Additionally, I saved money with another company! Unlike my experience with door to door, the other guys delivered. I would not recommend giving these guys a shot. How bad do you have to be to lose someone’s business before you even get it?

After trying to find a trucking company to bring my car from California I received a response from Loretta. This lady is very professional and knowledgeable and within an hour I received a call from the driver who picked up the car the same day and was here on time with it.nI know not everyone will get a good review but I do believe Loretta deserves more than five stars.

Terrible horrible company that gives no respect to their customer or bothers to even inform them of the status of their order. My delivery has been waiting to be picked up for a week. Missed the deadline date without bothering to give me a call and then passed my car off to another transporter, again may I add, without notifying me at any step. I am leaving the state in 24 hours and the drive isn’t able to pick it up and until 72 hours. So I’M having to drive my vehicle to HIS location and have him load it there. Will NOT recommend this service to anyone and seriously suggest everyone take their money somewhere more trustworthy.
